How do I book a place?

Remember that there will be competition for places in some projects, so we advise you to apply very promptly.

Students are advised to return completed enrolment forms as soon as possible, since it is expected that places in the School will fill quickly. Ensure that you supply supporting information with your application, as shown on the form.

The last date for enrolment is 31st October

In order to maintain the high quality of the “Hands-On Science” experience, numbers are restricted to 240 participants. Should the number of applications exceed this, a selection process will be applied giving priority to senior students and to students who have not previously attended the School.

If students are not satisfied with their allocated project they may withdraw without penalty before 1 December 2011.

A letter will be sent to all students by mid to late November advising of acceptance to the School and indicating their project allocation.  Payment must be made within 2 weeks to confirm your place.  Receipts are not issued unless requested.

If cancellations are received between 1 December 2011 and 6 January 2012, a 50 percent refund will be made. After 6 January 2012 we reserve the right to retain the full course fee.

The University of Otago reserves the right to alter components of the programme, to cancel or terminate the programme, or to reject an application for enrolment.
