There are 3 major changes to the registration process for Hands-On Science.
Hands-On Science will now only be available for students entering Year 12 or Year 13 in the year of the camp. So for example for Hands-On Science 2012, you would need to be in year 11 or year 12 this year to be eligible. For Science Fair Prizewinners who may be younger than this, we will defer attendance until you are year 12 or 13.
As part of the registration form, you will have the opportunity to give us additional information in support of your application. Things such as significant academic achievements at school or in broader Science activities; an overseas exchange the following year that precludes your attendance at HoS; anything you think will assist us in selecting accurately!
Payment will now be required on acceptance into Hands-On Science, whereas previously it was required at registration. Once you have been accepted for HoS, you will have two weeks to make payment. We strongly recommend that if you plan to seek funding from Service clubs or your school you begin that process as soon as you register – don’t wait to be accepted. Sponsorship processes can be slow, so start as soon as you apply for HoS!
Registration packs will be sent to schools and available for download from this website, in mid-August.
